How to Add or Edit Additional Line Item Information
You can view or edit additional line item information for a line item on an existing service request. You can also add additional line item for a line item when you are submitting a professional, institutional, dental, Durable Medical Equipment (DME), or HCBC authorization request.
Optionally, you can:
To edit additional line item on an existing authorization
- On the Authorizations menu, click View/Edit Authorization Request.
- Search for the authorization you want to edit.
- On the Basic Service Authorization Info tab of the Submit Authorization Request page, in the Service Line Summary table, click the appropriate line item row.
- In the Line Item Detail panel, click Additional Line Item.
- On the Service Authorization Additional Line Information page, complete the fields.

Click Save & Return to Service Authorization Tab Line Item.
You are returned to the Basic Service Authorization Info tab of the Submit Authorization Request page where the additional information is saved to the Service Line Summary table.
To add additional line item information when submitting an authorization
- On the Authorizations menu, point to Submit Authorization Request and click the appropriate authorization request being submitted.
- On the Basic Service Authorization Info tab of the Submit Authorization Request page, in the Service Line Information panel, click Add Service Line Item.
- In the Line Item Detail panel, complete the fields and then on Line Item Detail action bar, click Additional Line Item.
- On the Service Authorization Additional Line Information page, complete the fields.

Click Save & Return to Service Authorization Tab Line Item.
You are returned to the Basic Service Authorization Info tab of the Submit Authorization Request page where the additional information is saved to the Service Line Summary table.
