Trading Partner Enrollment (Carrier Affiliations) Page

If you are a trading partner that is classified as a clearinghouse, switch vendor, or carrier, you use the Carrier Affiliations page on the enrollment application to add or edit the carriers on whose behalf you can submit or receive electronic transactions.

Carrier Affiliations is displayed in the Applications Links pod only if the trading partner's classification is Switch Vendor, Clearinghouse, or Carrier. Otherwise, Provider Affiliations is displayed.

Carrier Fields

Field	Description
To add a new carrier, click Add Carrier. Existing carriers, if any, are displayed in a table. To edit, in the Carriers table, click the appropriate row. After changing or adding information, on the Carrier action bar, click Save.
Carrier ID	Identification number of the carrier that is linked to your trading partner ID. Up to ten numeric numbers.
Begin Date	Date that the carrier affiliation with the trading partner began.
End Date	Date that the carrier affiliation with the trading partner ends.
Transactions Fields These fields indicate the transactions the trading partner can send and receive for this carrier.
Transmission
271 (TPL Coverage Response)	Indicates you want to send this transaction.
Retrieval
270 (TPL Coverage Inquiry)	Indicates you want to receive this transaction.
